The DeWalt DCF813S2 delivers 1150 in/lbs of torque and is built to fit into tight spots. It weighs 2.3 pounds and is 6-1/4 inches long. It features 3 LED lights and a 3/8 inch Hog ring anvil for quick socket changes. This drill is designed for cabinet makers, mechanical and electrical contractors, HVAC professionals, and anyone who does overhead fastening applications. Included in the wrench kit are two 12-volt lithium ion batteries that recharge in 30 minutes to 1 hour, a charger, and a bag. It’s backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
Pros
The compact size and weight (2.3 pounds) is ideal for holding the driver overhead or at odd angles, while being able to fit it into tight areas such as ceiling joists and cabinets. It’s also great when using while on a ladder. The DCF813S2 has enough torque to drive tough bolts and screws that other 12V models can’t. This is probably all you need for repair tasks and assembling furniture around the home.
To my delight, this compact driver sank those lag screws into the studs with ease. I should also note that I first tried my 12-Volt Makita driver for this task, and the Makita couldn’t handle it. With that said, the Dewalt driver will be my go-to driver from now on.

I installed a pull latch on my cedar closet door, which is the heaviest, densest wood I have ever worked with – it eats drill bits for breakfast. The Dewalt had no trouble extracting the old screws and installing the new ones. The second project was installing a rain gauge on my fence post — also very dense wood. Again, the screws went in with ease.

The handle is balanced and comfortable, which also helps reduce user fatigue. Just by holding it, you can feel the quality of materials used. The drill is very well built, and like other DeWalt tools is very durable.
I don’t know many drills that feature 3 LED lights, and this is designed to eliminate shadows that are frequent with single LED light models. They come on even when the drill is not in operation, and pressing the trigger makes them brighter.
Also included is a handy belt clip to keep the driver right by yourside for added convenience, while you use your hands for other tasks.
Cons
One downside is that the chuck has a tendency to wobble a bit too much, even when using different bits. The battery charge capacity leaves a bit to be desired, and recharge times could be better. It’s also lacking a bit holder.
Summary
Another high quality drill from DeWalt. Ideal for those looking for something small, lightweight, and with enough power to get the job done. The three LED lights are a wonderful feature, as well as the belt clip.
